Clinical Trials Guru’s Southern California meetup brings great minds together

The Clinical Trials Guru’s All Day Southern California Mastermind and Meetup in Irvine on Friday, September 6, brought together nearly 50 leaders in clinical research to learn how to network, market, promote and otherwise achieve goals. Dan Sfera and Chris Sauber from DSCS CRO and Site Network hosted the all-day clinical research mixer and meetup, which offered presentations, brainstorming sessions and valuable tips for getting the most out of time and dollars spent.
At the free “mini conference” and networking event, Sfera, Sauber and others discussed such topics as how to break into the industry, how to advance in the industry, how to increase market share and earning power in the industry, how to network with others in the industry, how to achieve goals more effectively and, most importantly, how attendees could do their part to push clinical research best practices forward. There were stakeholders from all facets of clinical research such as sponsors, CROs, sites, vendors, recruiters and others in attendance at the meeting.
Industry professionals discussed different topics of interest and held Q&A sessions throughout the day. A videographer documented the event and videos can be viewed on Dan Sfera’s Youtube channel. Also announced at the meetup was the launch of Clinical Scoop Magazine, as well as opportunities to promote companies and projects via social media and a website in which profiles will describe companies and projects.
Established in 2013 by Dan Sfera and Chris Sauber — who have owned and operated various clinical research centers since 2005 — DSCS Sweat Equity & Investments, LLC now has an extensive site network, business development and clinical operations consulting firm, a CRA and CRC training academy and a CRO. The organization wants to bring researchers together to discuss actionable best practices, provide education, introduce them to key industry leaders and help them achieve more.
