Cloud Tool

Veeva Systems Inc. — a leader in cloud-based software for the global life sciences industry — is offering a new cloud-based application that combines several of its tools. It includes coding, EDC, data cleaning and reporting. Enabling companies to manage clinical trials from build through execution, the new app is designed to achieve a complete and concurrent view of all clinical data within a trial, according to the company.

Named the Veeva Vault CDMS, the app is intended to offer a full and concurrent view of data all through the trial with one application for data capture, coding, cleaning, reporting and management. It performs all of this on a daily basis, instead of forcing users to wait weeks or months for individual pieces of data.

According to Henry Levy, a general manager for Veeva, “The industry can finally move away from the complex patchwork of systems and integrations that limit the ability to leverage the range of clinical data available throughout the course of a trial. Veeva Vault CDMS will provide the key capabilities companies need to bring together all their clinical data so research teams can make faster, more informed decisions.”

In an effort to accelerate development, Veeva joined other companies to develop open technology standards aimed at transforming clinical trial operations. Along with ICON, Medpace, PPD, PRA Health Sciences, Syneos Health and UBC, Veeva formed a group known as Align Clinical CRO. This group, which was formed in March, endeavors to make it simpler for sponsors and CROS to work together during clinical trials. In addition, this effort makes the process faster, less expensive and more effective.

Veeva cited the benefits of Veeva Vault CDMS. It provides complete and current data, enabling users to gain transparency and visibility to all clinical data for both local and remote (CRO) trials. CDMS accelerates study cycle times, allowing researchers to deploy studies in days, not weeks, and improve time to database lock with a flexible, formless view of the data that is better for cleaning and monitoring. The program is simple and cost efficient, helping to replace multiple applications with one solution and reducing the burden of data integrations for clinical trials. It unifies clinical trials as part of a comprehensive suite that includes Vault CDMS, Vault CTMS, Vault eTMF, and Vault Study Startup.

Committed to innovation, product excellence, and customer success, Veeva has more than 650 customers, ranging from global pharmaceutical companies to emerging biotechnology companies. Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, Veeva has offices throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
